all right good evening seniors and parents the Warriors right but of the Warriors of class 2021 so it's it's really good to have you guys here we have quite a few of the class and we're going to go to some information at the very end there will be a few minutes so if you are if you have questions definitely am you can either write them down and one of our staff members will come down and we will answer them you know very end if there is they're not answering me lately through the chat so I thought I'd rental a presentation exquisita presentacion so you haven't switched over yet right I have no you actually are the holster so you will have to enable that interpretation feature from the original so I should be in the security settings I believe back on my 11R back on Note within the at the very bottom of your buttons right now with the far-left there should be a security one going to make me a house for a second the way we to charge I don't know why it's not on there should be on there see if that's if it popped up on you I'm looking at my I don't know if it's a minute share mode oh I see now sir David Stapleton for some reason it says not join that's what I kind of confused about that stuff so it's not a lot of information so I think we could probably do it back and forth they're so give me a second here signed myself as an interpreter I think I put you down last all right looks like it seems to be working with Roberto today getting messages from the attendees side that it seems to be working alright welcome parents and students again in class of 2021 all right so first and foremost I definitely want to make sure that I congratulate all the students who have been accepted to you I mean a lot of different types of colleges so I just wanted to say congratulations that your hard work over mattress for years but your hard work since you were a kid has now come to fruition so I'm a really really excited. That's really what we want to see at a check I am and you know we've tried as best we can to prepare you and I would be lying to you if I said that it's going to be easy to sit in college you're going to go to a lot of different things here in the next few years but I'm I will tell you it's worth it and I wish I was you again okay so I'm so I can experience the life of a college you're in for a very exciting time of your life today so I wanted to congratulate all of you and congratulate your parents because your parents have raised you since day one and have had to do what you and do a lot of things to get you to this signing time so definitely pay tribute to your parents or Guardians whomever has been taking care of you throughout the last 17 to 18 years so congratulations so here's my little piece of Base so I need to take care of okay so not counting today because today is over are you have 15 more days of school okay so these 15 more days of school are crucial okay you've got to finish okay so you're right at that mean I can you can see the write the weather you are in an Edgenuity class whether you are in a intervention class for English or government economics whether you are taking an adult school through the lab whether you are doing some sort of extra class to get the graduation it's 15 more days we got to do everything possible to get there okay so and I'm not saying way to one more day to because it's not the way it's going to operate okay and so definitely make sure that you were talking to your teachers doing your assignment it's not going to be given in case so I want to make sure that you guys understand that that if you fall short you're not going to be at graduation okay and so I'll get to that in just a moment in the next life I just want to push you motivate you encourage you to do it you're very very very best as you finished the last 15 days of adolescent Life as a student I mean next step is your neither going to be in college weather be in a 4 year college if you need to call is you're going to be possibly in the military or you're going to go to work so your life as a kid is go to be ending very very soon so I'm absolutely you have to finish okay couple of senior things that are going to be happy happening here soon okay so my first thing that I want to share with you our event. share with you as a senior Awards night and it's actually going to be a walk-through event okay so we're going to set up a walk through okay as in like you are going to come on campus and you're going we're going to set up a little path for you to walk through and you're going to get your Awards on that night okay so it's a little different in terms of it's not a banquet style because we are not really with the amount of awardees and having guests there was no we're going to be able to hold the event has limitations on things like food and so we come up with an idea for our Awards night to be at walk through event okay that walk through the van is going to be on June 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m. you will receive an invitation through schoology okay so last I checked I believe there was 100 of the 178 seniors that we're going to be awarded something on that text to this Awards night is By Invitation in case so if you receive something through schoology from probably miss Savannah or Miss Matos your counselor make sure you know you take a look at it because there will be some instructions and information regarding the event just to make sure you guys know it's a walkthrough event and you will be going through the region K okay that's the game that the big reason why you go you are here if you want to know about graduation day so yes we are going to have a graduation so I'm excited to have a graduation cuz we haven't had one in a while in person graduation but it will be a socially distanced graduation day so it's going to hit we're going to have okay I'm it's going to be at the stadium like we've had in the past when K it will be on Saturday June 12th okay it's a Saturday evening okay and we usually about two hours in advance because we usually do nothing with the seniors beforehand with your parents okay so you know will give you some more information in regards to you know what time you need to arrive there that that night or evening information on what we're going to be doing okay soon but again if it's going to be limited in terms of how we go about our guests okay which is the the dreaded the next light is the one-eyed reading because it's going to really like impact our family okay unfortunately because of the state and County guidelines we're still at basically 33% capacity okay that's the maximum capacity that we can have any if any of that right so so because of those guidelines we are only allowed to provide two tickets for graduate okay and I know that in the past week we've been able to get a lot of tickets why we quit work I have to be very firm on that day so I know that you want to bring more gas time I actually know that but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to do that okay so I know a lot of questions about this but that is really what all the schools are being you know that that's the guidelines are all schools are being given that you know we're going to have a graduation on the graduation is obviously for the students okay and then obviously for the two most important people in your world which is usually your parents or Guardians those who have raised you since you were a baby okay graduation rehearsal and cap and gown pick up that will be on my June 7th at 1 p.m. okay so we definitely need to go through a little run through with the students and the faculty in case for The Faculty will be on campus because we have school on that  word better but invasive get down at 1 and then we will be heading over to the to the field to the stadium to practice what graduation going to look like that practice using takes about an hour okay with some announcements on the cap and gown pick up after we're done with graduation okay so I just want to make sure that you guys you know are where when and how you can pick up your cap and gown graduation rehearsals and it is it's important okay you have to be there what times we would have been on campus and we would have just settled you down to the stadium right after school and said okay you guys need to be here let's go over the procedures and protocols for graduation okay so I definitely want to make sure you guys know that I know that some of you may be in the event that you have a scheduling conflict you need to tell us right away in the scheduling conflict is really the only one I can think of right now would be that's the possibly be in a college class everything else you need to like ask for it off if you're working ask you know if you didn't whatever commitment you may have you may need to visit I believe Barn in advanced enough for you to ask for a day off so you deaf I need to make sure that you're a graduation breakfast time for rehearsal so there are some requirements and are our guidelines for graduation and these are district guidelines also so in order for you to participate in the graduation okay there going to be a couple things that you must you okay first you must complete all High School requirements prior to that graduation okay so basically you have 15 days to finish everything that is every requirement that is you know that you know that you have it's completing a class completing a service learning requirement whatever is out there that is still pending and you have all been I mean this month is our counselor is amazing and you know she has met with you tons of times she's the saint in so you know what you need to graduate okay through all those requirements need to be met by June by basically the last day of school so you got 15 days okay and June 11th at midnight okay day really you need to be done before then okay I know that's a lot of you are going to give you may come to me you may send me a message or call me or send me a message if you do not meet the requirements to graduate you will not be at the graduation okay as a participant okay if you don't meet those requirements you will be required to go through summer school or summer Edgenuity and yes there is a summer graduation for all Local District East graduates and that will be on a specific day which I do not know what that day is yet but in the event that you do not you know I'm hoping that all of you naked obviously and I know some of you are very close OK Google summer graduation with those who did not participate in their regular graduation the second thing that is required of you to participate in The Graduate is you must complete the LAUSD senior exit survey okay now as of this morning I believe a hundred and 15 of the 178 potential graduates have already completed that's okay so you definitely need to completed survey it doesn't take very long I believe miss Savannah has to have posted where you need to go in order to do that service complete that survey if you don't know where to go I will definitely reach out to her and she will help you with that the next thing is every regulation that we've had in person if you've ever been to one you will have seen posters that have been I guess mounted or posted on the rail games of our Stadium okay now we want to continue to do those posters in those posters are kind of cool because as soon as the graduation is done you're more than welcome to pull it off the where is Mount and take it home with you and you can have it as a keepsake or if you don't want it your parents may want it or Guardians may want it so it is a poster for you or your family okay so Miss Ross is going to be posting a Google form link tomorrow okay where it's going to ask you for some I do have a slide specifically for this song it's not it's not very labor-intensive but it it will explain what you need to do okay for this for this particular little mini project that you have prior to graduation and there is a deadline and that cannot be done on the 11th gives those posters just so you know take about five to seven minutes to print each so we have to print 200 almost 200 you can just imagine that we need about 1000 minutes do this so you can see that it gets done over about a week week and a half so you'll see the the deadline that Miss Ross post on that you don't like just so you know from past situations you don't want to be the student that died have a poster out there because your parent comes to me and says where's Johnny's poster and I will say will Johnny didn't submit what he was supposed to submit okay so obviously we're pushing you and making it a requirement because we have had you know issues in the past because someone doesn't want to do it okay next thing is of course the negative covid test and you must have a daily leusd daily pass okay I know that is a district there's obviously testing at places like gauge you definitely need to do that a lot of you have already done it because of AP testing or you're on campus I will recommend to you because Miss Marcus is going to be talking about Anna. shortly about that you guys are going to be having for the seniors and it's going to require you to have the bit the the negative covid test and the daily past and it's going to help us because then the following week will be graduation okay so she'll explain good morning Mommy but those are the things that we need to do in order for you and that you need to do in order to participate in the graduation so I was talking about the sea graduation poster requirements you definitely need to upload a picture of yourself so let me tell you about the picture of yourself okay in the past we have done senior portraits the problem that we have for this year is that we do not have senior for most of you okay so we've tried to be uniform about it in the past but this year is again things are a little different so what we're asking of you is to upload a picture of yourself that is sensible of a picture that your email that your parents wouldn't be like asking you why would you put that picture of you you know like a view you know doing something as you probably shouldn't be doing on it with right so definitely make sure that you picture of there that of yourself that you know looks professional looks you know classy and an accurate representation of who you are in terms of that thing that it performs going to ask you is it's going to ask you for a is to your parents okay now we've that's all the pictures we're going to get all the messages to your parents or Guardians McKay and those those messages and Cake need to be appropriate okay we don't want to have to call you and say hey Johnny like what is is that you're staying to your mother you know and I will tell you students as a former teenager a long time ago like I don't even remember what it's like to be a teenager I could only imagine how hard it is but as a parent now you know it's hard to be a parent absolutely difficult to be a parent okay and you may have not seen eye-to-eye with your mom and dad over the last 17 to 18 years okay but that Day on June 12th is a very momentous day okay it's a day it should be proud it's a day to celebrate and you do not want to put a message or not again have a poster out there because you didn't want to say something nice to your parents okay which I do believe is very very important then so again that link will be posted on schoology tomorrow morning sometime or during the day you're going to have a little bit of time to do you know it's not you over the weekend or anything like that we're going to give you some pie but we're not giving you till June 10th to do this okay it needs to get done literally about a week and a half before you know we we have to do this because it's hard takes time to produce a don't be surprised okay I know we tend to be very very pesky or pasty when it comes to trying to track you down okay and at a certain point if you are not responding to us you're just going to be left out and then we're going to say hey you're not going to graduate with us okay please please please do not put us in the position to have to send out people to try to like get you to do something that's not even about us it's all about you all right moving over I'm going to pass it over to miss Marcos for the next few slides and then I know we're going to go into a Q&A so thank you again miss Matos thank you everybody for being here and I'm going to switch off my camera all yours with my brother thank you answer C so hello Warriors thank you for being here you have a lot of bread information as we can see first and foremost we already said it but I want to remind you guys that that really important than me I need last like 3 weeks or so left the school so he said 15 more days we have to make sure that you guys are submitting all your assignments on time keeping up with your current work in your English government in any other class you might have in your sketch that you need for graduation Adult School classes he has have to finish so you can be a graduation and we can find each other so I hope that I do and that's why I want you guys to make sure you're getting at I wanted to let you guys know that next week I'm at 7 and I will be doing extra office hours for college help so we're going to be having extra doing workshops from 3:30 to 5 30 every day except on Tuesday on Tuesday were going to do 4:30 to 5:30 so if you haven't done your senior serving join us on Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 will be working on the senior serve if you need help with registering for glasses with orientation any questions that you might have in the process of going to college will be helping during this time to make sure that he is doing next week we're going to do it all week so if you have any questions you can going to the next line I ride so a big announcement for the our Warriors it is that we will be having a senior luncheon and it will be an in-person at and so we have one of the senior advisors along with mr. Weiss and his back was sweating so we have been working with your senior cabinet to create activities throughout this year and it's been hard and I know that a lot of students have been wanting to do something unfortunately do not do prom but we want him we want to have something where you guys can actually see each other and get to say hi to your friends once more so we are doing a senior event where you can come to school from on June 4th from 3 to 4 p.m. we do need you guys to get a covid test if you're going to be attending so the same requirements that you have for graduation you would be Park sing at the senior luncheon so getting a covid test making sure you have a negative result and in creating a daily pass for that day we'll all be required it is a $10 events and the money that we will you will be paying is to pay for so we are accepting any e-payments if you have a payment both venmo and zelle and if you don't have either that your payments then we will do cash on our first day of a cash payment will be tomorrow from 1 to 2 if you cannot come tomorrow then the following week on the 28th we will have another date and we'll collect cash payment on May 20th from 1 to 8 so this is your chance Palm Beach part of a senior activity and hopefully he'll be able to enjoy seeing I know we I will but I also seeing your classmates the being able to talk to each other from a socially distance but still being able to enjoy each other's company okay so the deadline to RSVP and to get a covid test will be May 28th okay and that's because we want to make sure that you get your covid test before June 4th at least a week before just for insurance that insurances that you have your results alright the link for this event will be posted after we finish this me next time and then for those idiots that purchase the jackets they have a ride so I'm wearing my warrior jacket you guys can pick them up tomorrow from 1 to 3 p.m. at the H Pam office okay so all this place an order the jacket they are here if you did not order a jacket and now that they arrived you're interested in buying a jacket that you can still purchase 1K however the difference between our courage and the ones that will be ordered in the future is that you will be either paying for shipping so they could be shipped directly to your home so it's about like an angel the shipping fee or you can actually pick them up at the vendor location so the ordered the ordering link I will post again at the end of this meeting and you'll get you'll have a chance to still order a jacket okay and then any questions about that will go ahead and cover at the end am I back on camera and right cuz I don't see myself here alright perfect so yes so we're here to answer some questions I Believe Miss Ross you've been with and answering some in the chat and so I don't know I haven't looked at the question about the time for the graduation rehearsal because they get out of class at 12:55 so they won't be able to make it to his canvas by 1 so I'll be very very honest that idea is that we want to get you guys there by 1:30 latest because we're going to have to scream everybody so we are not going to start rehearsal till probably 1:30 the teachers also get out also at 1 so we know but we need to just get you there we can't have you getting there at 2 2:30 so that's what it is so really I know that you guys are going to be getting out of class and so you'll make your way to campus really we're going to start around 1:30 and the students need to have a covid a negative covid list for graduation to their guests so they will have to face that they're going to be socially distance in the stand kind of like if any of our athletes had James you will notice that your parents come to the game or your to Guess that have been designated the night before and they sit they basically go through screen right so then you know that they have to answer the questions and then get temperature check and that is the extent what we are now required to do another question was about if somebody is vaccinated like a student is vaccinated do they still have to take to get a negative covid test unfortunately yes and that is something that is the faculty members are upset with that I mean I've been vaccinated and I still have to go to covid testing literally every week another question was about whether or not babies counted as one to guess yeah I knew that was going to be an answer that was going to come up so that's a very very tricky question to answer because what is the definition of a baby right are we talking about a new year old and under are we talkin about I'm not going to sit there and say well I don't know cuz I need to look at a birth certificate we don't have that kind of like we don't want to do that okay but what I'm going to say is this is that it's a very interesting graduation okay there's not going to be a lot of people there and the way this is set up not that I don't want any babies there but it's kind of like a wedding right so I'm going to I asked to see if hey can we have someone you know can I get a babysitter or some child care because that's going to be very very difficult so I would say I recommend not bring a baby just because it's an adult and your almost adult child you know there but luck if it's if it's an infant someone that looks carrot being carried in the carrier I'm not going to stop them okay so I'm I'm going to say that take that for what it's worth in that's like we should we cannot have kids running around and to be honest with you we've had graduations obviously with a lot of people a graduation for a 3-year old for it morning they don't understand it it's kind of like they're running around and so I would just recommend it's kind of like a wedding the closest thing to kind of a wedding so I would recommend that we keep you no children at home are you now utilize in one of your tickets for that but it's up to you up to you about if the restrictions are lifted prior to graduation will that two guests restriction be lifted that's to be determined by the district and their policies I would love to stay if they do I would be the first one to say we're going to open up the graduation for everybody but I cannot say that at this time I will be honest with you and say that I contemplated trying to have a graduation after June 16th okay because June 15th is the the magical day where everything in California is supposed to open up but I worried about other differences physical issues on and that's why I kind of refrain from doing it after June 15th so so that answer is if they were tourists if they were to lift the restrictions for us I would absolutely want as many people as we can get in there okay it's a it's a momentous day for our kids there's another question about are they allowed to have guests at the senior Awards yes now just so you know wondering why don't they need to have a covid test in because the way we're setting it up and I didn't go into too much detail with that is that we're kind of creating like a little pathway where kids are going to come up with their families we are going to have unlike a makeshift stage which is basically our Valley stamp and we're going to announce their names and then we're well we're going to that person's name and then we are going to announce all the different awards that they may have gotten and then there's I walk off and then we have like a gift basket for you and some other little things that I don't want to stay yet and then you're going to walk out so that whole process of an area for you to take pictures with your Awards and with you parents or guests and then that should be about no more than about a 15-minute process okay to be honest with you so and it is kind of coming as you know it's if it's everyone's going to come in as come in at 7:47 so it's an open award tonight okay so yes you can bring yes absolutely but there is nowhere for them to sit it is literally a walk-through event their questions about any your book updates and class what about class rings that's a really good question if you are interested in a class ring on the answer that one first you will have to go to the Jones website and you can order one there okay so definitely Herff Jones as someone can write that down in the chat maybe for want to see like Hurst Jones and they will just go Google Herff Jones and you'll be able to find an area where purchase a ring if you'd like to hear but I know that I spoke to Carlos today regarding the yearbook and in getting content cell I don't know when that's going to be done yet and so as soon as I get some sort of date I will share that with the seniors okay there's not a question when the parents to take the covid test what is the testing window so the do not have to take a covid-19 I would recommend it just for the state sales for yourself absolutely there's another question in the chat the students are taking intervention classes when will they be known but if they're going to graduate I'm going to defer that question to miss Marcos K English intervention or the government intervention show the intervention is meant to help them come up with at least a d now soon as I'm still working and so once we have the intervention in and like whatever they submitted has now increased their percentage to safer percentage somewhere in the 60 range I'm sorry then I can notify you by the still percent then I'll continue to just keep reviewing and will be in contact so my hope is that they also continue working on their courage word because there are so current assignment II intervention for English beginning an estimate and so there is an argumentative thesis that is due today for students with a knock-knock and then tomorrow for students with an even blocked until they have to work on that cement that and just keep up with the crew assassin intervention intervention is meant to help boost up there to the fair percentage but we definitely want to keep on working so the goal is to let you know by June 4th student is ready to graduate I'm glad you did mention that miss my pills because I do want to reiterate that you may be an intervention program it does not preclude you from not doing the rest of the work okay so you are being given these opportunities but you got to say okay whatever everything and everything all your might just got to put it together for 15 more days okay and if you're in that it's basically stating that you have a chance so your destiny is controlled by you in case you got it got to push sorry glad Miss frost a question about the senior portfolio so will it affect us if we don't do some assignments is it now just being extra credit if it don't do one assignment will it affect us that's a great question for you to answer his rosters you know that answer so you're a senior portfolio can only help you it cannot hurt you you it is in your best interest to do it because it can help you especially for those of you who are like on the on the bubble are absolutely thank you if you want to be in an in an intervention for English contact me next question is Ross for every senior event the covid test must be at least 3 days prior correct yes yes actually somebody else had a question which events do they need a covid test for stove if you're for graduation for practice you would need a covid test and then if you're going to do the senior luncheon you would need a covid test how long are they valid for the thing that you're you know going to be at that is done with a lot of people possibly so it's important you get this and if you get that if you are able to get that covid test you're going to have access to the daily pass you should have no issues the following week for graduation okay we're trying to like push you like you know there's a lot of things and you're being pushed a lot of different ways I get that we're trying to push you so you don't get to June 10th when I can't get a daily pass I don't know where to get a task because those tests may not be available or you may not be able to get a result so we don't want and we know that we have pushed some of you away for AP testing and we know that there's a makeup but we had to push people away or if you know because they did not have the access okay so we're trying to avoid that okay something that you guys might want to consider though is that all the seniors that are graduating in the district need to get test about the same time so you need to be pretty mindful of you know going with enough time being ready to stand in line you know I wouldn't probably just 3 days prior maybe 4 maybe 5 so that you your get your results in enough time there's another question about roughly how long is the graduation and what's the dress code for graduation well that's a great question so the graduation usually last about an hour and a half so it should end around 8:30 and turn to the dress code you need to wear a cap and gown yes and you have to wear something okay like underneath the cap and gown so now I'm smart people most girls will wear a nice dress or pants suit and most boys will wear a shirt and tie you can wear a jacket like a suit if you like but you definitely dress like you are doing an interdisciplinary project at a showcase also so you must dress professionally this is your is your day this is not my day it's your day and it's a day for your parents okay time can they decorate their caps yeah absolutely okay so I absolutely encouraged decorate the cap now with that and I I knew I was going to forget something this Rusty we forgot this okay if you know what I will provide those guidelines and we will we will stick a little piece of paper inside me I will give it to you when you collect but there are some rules regarding the decoration of your of your shop okay really it's the biggest role is that it needs to be appropriate okay you should not be using profanity on that cap again that cat you're you're a reflection of your parents okay you don't want your parents to be like oh my God this is what my son or my daughter put on this okay and then if they have to pull them out we already have the guidelines what does have to print those and I forgot I should have said that inside the presentation because that is something that is very popular lines and we check your temps so you want to make sure you don't want it I don't want to do it and then get to campus and they were like sorry you cannot attack now and I would if you think it's an appropriate it probably is just that shadow of a doubt it probably your grandma to see it then and it's not really cool and are you are they getting cap and gown on June 3rd award nights that's a great question I know I don't want to lie yes that is one of the perks that the since you are getting their Awards will get their caps and gowns that that will be one of the station's to so you actually are going to get it earlier so there is a possibility depending on the situation after that day that we may have a cap and gown distribution yes I do not want to commit to that yet because it depends on certain things going on on campus okay the cap and gown is black the who is the color of the class I think it's the blue I think I don't remember I always forget but I can't believe it's a blue I'm not sure if you have have been told told by your children but the cap and gown and the store has been paid for by the school so you will not on any type of graduation cost for that queso if you've given your if your child ask you for money for that you may want to check with them again not on candy that was nice can we still pick up senior portraits they've been inside the HP Officejet more than welcome to pick them up anytime during our normal business hours which is 823 right now well I I yes and I'm assuming if Aaron wants to come pick them up they can pick them up anytime during the school day for kids you know you should be in class so if you pick it up between 8 and 8:38 and 9 because most of you are remote that's okay I prefer not you showing up at 8:50 because I know you're not going to get back to your class by 9 okay so in a bear that in mind will the band be performing at graduation and will we be live streaming the graduation so I believe and will be playing at the graduation okay that's been something we're working on logistically okay and then in terms of live-streaming at we are trying to figure out how to livestream it okay if you're said than done. As like hey I'm going to stand up there with a iPhone in Facebook live at so that's that's that is a concern so we are at going to attempt to record it okay and then provide it to you you know I know, okay we just we understand weren't you know we don't have everybody there that would like to have two questions about covid testing do they do they need to have a covid test for senior Awards night and the very next day is the senior luncheon that requires it so if you have not gotten that thing by June 3rd it's highly unlikely that you are going to be going or I'll be allowed to come in on June 4th right which is a luncheon date so it's not required but I would hope that you are taking care of business okay to be able to be eligible to do the other things that are coming there was a question in the Q&A that I think was already answered that I think might be helping other people might want to know can they get a covid test outside of LAUSD or does it have to be in l u s t good outside but I would highly recommend that they do it with the LAUSD because basically the there's a lag okay between is so if you get a test covid test from outside leusd you have to get that then you have to upload the results through the platform that exists for LUSD and it's for students and staff and everybody and there seems to be a lag between when the result has been uploaded and the ability to get the daily pass versus if you get it through leusd it seems to be interfacing much quicker in case so I would highly recommend that you get it to lust what time does senior Awards start 4 p.m. and it'll be a three-hour block till 7 p.m. so if you can't come at 4 it's okay you can come at 6:30 you know I know people are working so we made it and plus also we want to kind of spaced-out everybody coming because of social distancing you know will Gage middle school be open for testing in the month of June and do they take walk-ins or is it by appointment only because I have been told that it's that walk-ins are available pretty much all the time now what happens there sometimes someone may say something to me like hey I went over there and they wouldn't take me okay what I'm going to recommend whenever they open is the time that I encourage you to go to take the covid test so they open at 7 you should be there at 7:30 now what has happened is some of our families will go there at I don't know 2:30 and if they're closing at 3 and there's a line of a hundred people it's kind of like Disneyland where they kind of stopped a line because they know that they're not going to be able to service I'll be there all night so some people have gone there right when it's about to close and they're upset and I'm here if you're not close yet it's not like a Costco shopping in the store until you I need to go it's much more restricted so I would encourage you to take go get the test early in the morning when they open they just said like to wait a little bit but at least it gives you a little bit. You don't feel that heartache if you're turned away how do we know if our senior portraits are at school you know what if you'd like to go ahead and call the school and someone can write down the number to chat again it's 3 35843 861 and then you can talk to me as our secretaries and they can check to see okay I'm not sure how many more we have left to be honest with you and you would have to call them because they have the box with the senior portrait would it be complicated to push the graduation until after June in and Arie I have struggled with that because I do wonder what it's going to look like after June 15th can we do anything we want you know I don't know and I am plus part of it was I don't want to bank on that in the event quite frankly if they would not reopen until then what do I do now now I'm sitting on June 15th or June 20th and I don't have a graduation for you okay so so we're sticking to our original dates in I know it's restrictive but that's the best that we can do at this time how many days prior from the graduation can we get a covid test for it to be valid I would seriously try to get it within 3 to 5 days Avion at the graduation to the graduations on June 12th assuming you are not well technically June 10th is less I June 7th is our graduation practice you really need to I would aim for my June 1st like you should not take your test later than June 1st because you're going to need it for the June 7th event you can meet us for the June 4th event and it would still be valid through June 12th also two guys don't forget that Memorial day is May 31st so that takes away a day that as far as testing so be aware May 31st there is no we're not sure if those testing sites will be open on that day so be reminded of that as well actually so that information was for students that were failing English as of May 13th okay so if you have any concerns than please send me a message and that way we can talk about what to do next for your horses and we may be contacting some of you based on a list of Us 2 time to get our portrait pictures done can we still get a portrait picture then I'm sorry you can you can contact fotorama and and see what is available I don't know if that picture will be sent to us you know where you'll have it in time absolutely something that you can do on your own yes and so I know that someone had asked whether or not they can use their senior portrait for that poster absolutely if you have it uploaded that would be great will grad night be possible at that's a great question we've had a lot of discussions about that in the last couple days here so here's the thing with well first and foremost there are no grad night okay right now like I know that Universal Studios is having a gram I think they called it but those events are also about Six Flags is not having a nice but I know that the students and I know they're going to have for sure is not the students have approached me about having a a day add a amusement park Six Flags okay and so here's the thing first and foremost this is always the policy of the district the district does not sanction grad nights at all okay so On Any Given Year all our students to do at 10 at night and we go they all have to sign a liability waiver basically waiving their rights to hold the district in any way liable right so we won't in the event we were to have something okay we are not it's not a school-sponsored event okay and I I need to make sure I say that can we help the kids organized something absolute but it's not something especially with Transportation we're not setting up any transportation because of covid guidelines it wouldn't even be cost-efficient for the students and things like a grad night or a amusement park day out is go to be completely funded by the students so all the transportation cost all the admission cost their own personal expenses the food and and and everything else so I know that the kids are working on something for I believe June 5th is been the date that they've proposed it's Saturday they ultimately have to decide how they want to go about collecting money okay in a large sum of money so if we were to do even a hundred students and the number that they were floating around was a little bit over $50 or $60 with a food voucher you're looking at $6,000 so we do for the safety of like a stew we don't want a student to say hey I'm going to collect $6,000 in cash okay and that includes digitally okay because that also puts the students at risk and driving by a twist all this it's at risk because they are going to blindly spend $60 to a venmo account and that money is could be gone and could be poop right so we need to be very very careful about that Anna versus doing it it's just up there is there's some Logistics to that and I can tell you that the staff is in no way responsible or they don't they're not obligated to go on this event in queso and in any of the staff members for whatever reasons to may have concerns about things like covid okay so maybe the last thing they want to do is be at an amusement park with a hundred or a thousand people they sell so that's I know for the kids if you're not thinking about it in perspective but I have to think about it that way so if it's something that you guys want to do we can help you organize it I'd say that I love them maximum we're going to do is we can help you collect the money and it's going to end everything's going to be documented to make sure that the funds that are collected are you obviously to buy your tickets and then you're going to come in drop your tickets because we're not going to be providing any type of Transportation Services okay we're not going to set it up it's too difficult it's it's just an it's very expensive so I know that's a lie and I know a lot of you have asked map of me lately and I know your concern and I know Karen took my kids out there by themselves and Essence yes okay and you may not want to do that I get that I understand that as a parent so that's completely out Family Choice so there's a lot I guess a little bit of confusion about when they have to get it a daily pass and a covid test or when they don't feel like a princess when they come pick up their jacket day for the luncheon pick up there soon portraits they just do a quick transaction on campus do they have to get a covid test in a daily campus they don't need to be okay if so a very quick like transaction I'm going to walk up stairs and just so you know if you haven't been on campus in order to enter campus even if you're just a guess for a moment you have to get screen you're going to get temperature check and from there that wear masks you're going to be told hey whatever business you need to take care of at the student store go ahead and go take care of it and then come back out and when you're done okay so that's kind of the concept you don't need that but ultimately all of you I'm going to need to get a daily pass so it behooves you to really try to get that done as soon as you can somewhere right around Memorial Day Weekend by June 1st will come okay so you know I know this is another like thing that you have to do that is a kind of a pain in the neck I know and and the teachers have to do this students are on campus and have to do this you're going to have to do it okay it's it's just that's the reality that were in my now I will this information and time be posted well I guess all the information that we've gone through so but information about graduation in the Graduation that's to be determined you know let's just assume everyone's being tested right they're all negatives they're all wearing face masks we will see how that's going to work okay I will I will I have a better as we get closer in a graduation okay because there's still some like that that question actually came up already in like an Ops meeting for us so I just want to make sure that until I get more guidance on that I I will I'll be able to call me ultimately I want you to be I know this year has been difficult and you're going to get a Graduation which I know is an important thing in in and I know you haven't gotten the other things are going to get a Graduation which you know the class of 2020 you know has not had graduation yet and so I may still yearn for one okay so so just you know it let's look at the full versus half empty you know for sure will it be in alphabetical order can we sit with friends it's never alphabetical and it's designed a certain way in queso but we're going to have to rethink that because the way we in the past staff members you know how we do this and that's not really the way things are set up right now if you know what I mean so that is to be okay but I don't think it's going to be alphabetical it's not the not the style so if somebody is planning on going to all of the events is the the best day to get a covid test is before June 1st race on June 1st is a Tuesday the day before that is Memorial Day so ideally it would be Friday taking into account that Monday is a holiday no I wouldn't expect it to be open to just get it done by May 28th let alone the processing of test results it's it's it's one less work day so I don't it's that's true that's correct if you can get it on that Thursday Friday before I think you're going to be okay graduate Arboles a lot of graduation I mean I like we don't want to restrict things at this I not like you guys have to endure a lot okay and in the past we we do allow balloons we just tie them up to a area because we don't want to block people who views okay and in the past we've had thousands of in our stance and in on the field and it's not fair if someone trying to take video or whatever and they're they're sitting behind you and there's five hundred balloons I can up okay I love you that's not very courteous respectful can you explain again why vaccinations cards are not enough to get them on campus I will agree with you I feel the same way but that is d That's The District policy that has been set up and unfortunately whether I agree with it or not it's if that is the policy so I will say that even in other activities in a Lee County even though you're we get the prisoners vaccinated if that location requires a negative test like a sporting event Princeton if you still have to show like the negative whatever maybe that's the practice and there are a lot of people are other staff members were answering questions when it's you and I tried to get the one that's what I thought were most pregnant did you guys did anybody else see any others that were you know what the last question super the senior Awards you actually don't need a covid test for that very next day actually cap and gowns are black correct that's correct in the class colors are actually black and blues so it's the stash we need blue in about cords earlier that will be awarded through the awards tonight when will we receive the message if we're getting an award I probably will defer that to me will be sent out soon though the latest date is May 26th oh that's a question just to be clear senior portfolio won't stop us from participating any graduation that is correct so again some of you may be on a very Fringe of things I would really recommend that you that you do it it's in your best interest you can only help your grade not lower it can you explain what senior luncheon is and what will be served he still see your luncheon is our senior activity that will actually be in person so see yours if you participating up another we've done everything through Zoo since a lot of like games that we play through do so with senior luncheon we actually were planning to still play games but now in person and to actually just hang out and see each other so we will be serving Subway and students that are interested in participating have to complete the RSVP form where it has the payment information it has what option you would like to eat and then just making sure that you're also aware of the covid test that are participating have to fill out the form which will be posted after this meeting in the class of 2021 and 2020 and it's a $10 charge and the the ability to pair the information about the venmo and zelle is on that pay through an EZ payment so this is Arthur I'm using my payments for our school events and the reason we're doing that is because of the covid and we wanted like try to keep things as they are we understand from the experience with the AP test and with the senior jacket. Not everyone has those e-payments so I told her to doing the cash payments for students I need to pay cash so somebody asked if you can pay for it after the eighth pizza if he tosses tomorrow should be a and so you should be able to to pay your cedarland at the HPM office I will be there to collect it I think that is a pizza later in the day it is at 12 or Friday office and I'll be the clock I'll advisory is not in a through G requirements so it will not impact your graduation but you should still pass because advisory is usually a pretty easy assignment you should still be passing the we honestly like your parents live vicariously through you okay I'm not ashamed to say that like I want to see you become the the leaders of our country are of our community the doctors that cure for cancer adjudge a lawyer or whatever it is that you're going to become you know we look forward to that day and I greater satisfaction in seeing you you know happy and I'm doing what you want to do does the school need any volunteers okay so this is right like hard question to answer because again if you're going to volunteer we're going to need to take you to a protocol in terms of being on campus you're talkin about graduation day I will be very very honest with you that are a person that does our balloons and who is done every other graduation her daughter is in this class okay and she may be here I don't know if she's even on this fall right now and so we are going to provide her with some extra help so Mom can be a mom and not a party preparer basically okay and so I we may need some help may be okay so if you're interested if you can I don't want you as a parent is this is an answer my question my parents asking that question is if it's a student or day I don't know you know we can't refuse our Juniors and sophomores and our freshmen and other people to help us with this so I definitely appreciate you wanting to volunteer if that if it's you that once belonged here but
