why the schools are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and embody Innovation and immersion through real life experiences at Huntington Park Institute of Applied medicine students explore health related careers and professions in a creative and empowering environment here's an example of LAUSD at its best being a pilot school it's giving us that opportunity to create our Dream school we traded that dream school a school where a kid feel like they're a part of something bigger than themselves where the teachers feel that they're part of something bigger than themselves but an environment where we've created a safe place for them to take a chance not only the students but also the teachers at this Pilots since I'm able to tailor my needs the students I'm able to really Captivate them with the novels that I select with the lessons that I do and I really able to find tune it not only to our our guess what also to the needs of the fast one of the projects that I was pressed with was a project on communicable diseases where the students presented their fax and presentation but as part of their presentation they created a song and a dance based on the importance of getting immunizations regularly prevention  what my group did was create a news broadcast to inform the community about Senior Care potato will be talking about the elderly more specifically geriatric care stop high expectations and I want the teachers and the students to absolutely take chances with their learning and I believe that the pilot schools have given us that that model has given the opportunity to pursue our dream little successful really are there cheering them on and making sure that they are feeling complete and successful not just Scholastic me but emotionally and in all regards in their life
