This is a recording of the Zoom Webinar held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, to present on our current plans for the Physical Reopening of the Linda Marquez Campus scheduled for April 27, 2021.

and is it going to get selected Espanol so what are you asking in English all right good evening hi on YouTube socks and things that you're going to need to know in regards to reopening are coming back to school okay so the first thing that I'm going to share tonight and don't worry if you have questions mystery MSR assistant principal will be moderating the Q&A so if you do have questions definitely go ahead and write them down and then hopefully sometime throughout this presentation they will be answered if not we will do a Q&A at the very end of this presentation so again thank you so much for coming tonight I'm so many stars calendar so right now currently we are sitting on April 15th it's Thursday so beginning tomorrow we are going to start uniform sales for any students who may need a uniform if they are returning back to campus we have of uniforms in our hcam office we do cat's tails only so if you are interested in purchasing a uniform for really it's for the 9th graders tonight we know that our 10th 11th and Raiders already have uniforms so really we have uniforms for our freshmen so I know that you ordered some in the summer I mean we did not fulfill those orders because of not coming back so we do have some supplies of uniforms and so you are more than welcome to come by uniform anytime from Monday through Friday at from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. so you will report to the Welcome Center just tell them that you were here to buy uniforms for free-range hamster you will be instructed to go upstairs to the H Pam office where you'll be able to purchase the uniform or for your child just as a refresher the uniform is basically a a top so it will be a polo or a t-shirt or a spy shirt that has the a Pam emblem on it we have a few different choices so and they vary in price from as little as $10 up to $40 for a text so I'm if you have questions about that always call the ace fam office or you can send me a message and we can talk about that at a later time so now if you look at the next week they're going to see a very big yellow bar across the entire we came from call 19th through April 23rd and it's basically telling you that we have to get a baseline Coba test okay so all of our students all of our staff members come back to campus must take a covid test in K you have to be negative for the student must test negative right now you are more than welcome to take a free Tova test basically several different locations a school locations around Huntington Park in Los Angeles so I'm going to tell you really quickly where are the closest location we have Maywood High School Legacy School in Southgate we have some Miguel Elementary School in South Gate and we have Jordan High School down the street in Los Angeles off of Alameda okay so those are the nearest places to take a covid test for free there is a way to make an women's but in the event that if you are not able to make an appointment your they're all so welcoming their they're allowing walk-in appointment so if you are not able to get one I wouldn't work tomorrow I would encourage you to try to get up early as possible starting April 19th now the following week April 26th at is going to be the week that we reopen the staff teachers a counselors everyone is required to come school on April 26th now the students on that day will have an asynchronous day so the teachers are going to meet with them like they usually do remotely through an advisory for about a half an hour and they're going to give them their assignments for the day and they will be they will not be on Zoom that day for the rest of the day because the teachers will be preparing to open up the school the next day they so they will have a sign in its very very very important that the way we track students attendance is if the student logs in and took schoology or into Zoom depending on the day and turns in the assignments that is going to be given by the future so queso very important yesterday your your children may say hey we don't have school today while they may not have live school all day yes that's correct for April 26th but they do have assignments to do that they need to turn in order to make sure that they they've been marks after school that day so on the first day of school on April 27th our students will be there are 9th grade students will be there only hey so if you are a parent of a ninth grade student only your students will show up on that day okay this is basically the directive of it of the district and they are basically Raiders have not been on the campus will give them an opportunity to be on the campus before of the whole entire okay so on April 27th only our grade nine students who have opted to be in person school will be required to ds4k now you'll see that April it does not have any it doesn't have any students there for us okay so because we are in a alternating schedule our students are going to the rest of our students are going to show up on April 29th so you'll see Grace 9 to 12 or show up on Thursday okay so there will be on April 28th they will be taking classes at home resume as always and then on April 29th they will be in person so that's going to the schedule the rest of the way they will come to school every other day in person the other two days they will be at home taking their classes like they are taking them out Jason just a repeat April 27th 9th graders will be in school in purse I'm all the other raid will be at home doing their classes to resume on April 28th all our students and Kay will be taking their classes to resume at home and then on April 29th all of our 9th and 12th graders all of our students will be on campus who have opted to be in person at home. So the initial acquirements to be on campus first and foremost a negative covid-19 answer the campus so what's going to happen is we're going to have a designated place for all rhpm students to enter you're going to see myself or mr. aboard the worst one of us with a little scanner to scan in students coming in so they're going to generate this daily pass and you can see an example that just Roberto created for himself and it basically has his name the date the name of the school and it has the QR code which basically that's where we're going to be scan also when they enter the school we will be taking a temperature check okay with electronic touchless thermometer is okay so when they enter if their temperature is less than 100 degrees then they are going to be allowed to all persons will have to wear their face masks at all times okay so that's one of the things we're going to be talking about a little bit later in this in this presentation okay so there is a little side note for in-person AP exams so this is only going to apply to students who are taking the AP Spanish language test on May 11th the music music theory test on Spanish Literature test on May 21st you will required to get a negative to take a test get a negative results generate a daily pass and you will go through the same procedures as temperature checks and making sure that you wear your mask okay so this is early for students were staying at home this is just an early you know an announcement for an any of you who are taking the AP test those three in particular you're going to have to go through this process in order to get on campus to take the best so I know that there will be like a slight delay only because I'm waiting for mr. equipto to finish the translation the negative Covetous okay so if you want to make an appointment this this would be a good time to take a screenshot that website right that that were displaying right now okay and then it's going to take you to basically a page or a sheet that looks kind of like the one on the right bottom corner with that says Ruben and says books and Elias Dakota test appointment in queso from right there you're going to click on that and it's going to provide you going to ask you some questions if your parents who is student registering you know and then you're going to go do that for eventually you're going to get to location where you can pick a place to take the test and came and so that's that's that process now there's another way to so let's pretend and you didn't take a covid test through the district you can also take a Cobra test do your your hospital your medical group you're the county so if you end up with a you take a covid test and the results on the same website submit the external covid-19 result there in case you're going to upload it there okay so it says persons with a verified negative Tova test result in the daily pass system will be able to generate a QR code and be cleared to enter the School site in queso I'm yes leusd probably the best way to get the Cobra test because we supposed systems are integrated but in the event that you got a covid test through the county or your medical provider then you definitely need I made it to the district so we have it on file generate a daily pass not a guest pass taste so you're going to see if you look at that blue arrow says jet a daily pass okay now your children are our in our system so they are not guests they actually have to you know sign into their accounts and then they they will generate that QR code on their on their smartphone they have them if they don't have a smartphone naked they can print it out or they can get a they can get a picture of the QR code if they have to have it on their phone if they can get a screenshot of bats but it's really a QR code is is generated for us in order to scamming it so if you look at behind the QR code I also have access there's a dashboard so I can see who's allowed on campus and who's not allowed okay so that's obviously blocking off the names for privacy reasons but I thought you were going to see that I have access to that to in order to make sure that we are we have all students taking the necessary precautions to get on campus generating a daily pass at so what you going to do when you before you get to school you're going to generate a daily pass you're going to get that QR code I'm you're going to see where it says create a pass okay and again it's going to ask you some questions that you're going to have to hopefully agree on if you don't agree then it's not going to generate a daily pass and so those questions that are that have been of a lot of us in different places you know are going to be asked of every every student every day okay and we will take that temperature checked before they enter the campus daily screen for covid-19 symptoms in case so this is the kind of the questions that you got there to be asking you so they're talking about the different the difference basically symptoms of probate. So do you have a fever of a hundred degrees or greater are you experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing not associate with a p conditions is asthma you have the chills you have nausea vomiting diarrhea loss of taste and smell okay going to ask you if you have any type of newer severe fatigue cough congestion or runny nose muscle or body aches headaches sore throat and it's basically like we've been doing over the last year he have any symptoms stay home notified 8 p.m. office and schedule a okay so that's very very very important you know you are you know you're at your children have opted to come to school so we're excited to have them there but we also want to make sure that we're providing them with a safe environment for them for you to definitely make sure that we aren't you know that you what you're being conscientious of monitoring your students you know you saw your child or our students help okay so we just want to make sure that you're watching out for those symptoms properly wear a face mask okay so this is going to be very very very important says if you if you know the graphic is it's basically giving you the do's and don'ts of wearing a mask okay so don't wear your mask alone your nose don't wear your mask glow on your nose don't leave your chin exposed don't wear your mask under your chin or temporarily remove it in Pub don't let your map to hang Loosely with gaps around your face and then do where you're messed up to the top of your nose and under your skin under your chin sorry and snog and without gas so it's really really really important this is where we're going to be asking you for with your children it is vital that they wear the mask correctly on campus if they are violating this mask policy we're going to talk to your child and if it is a reoccurring problem what we're going to do is go I want to call you and you're going to have to pick up your child okay so it's a very very important again this is for the safety of everybody on campus and everybody that's in the extended part of families that are sending their kids to school right so it's very very very important they keep the mask on and you know I know that they'll be at lunch. Then we will discuss that further in regards to the wearing of the mastering much on your schedule return date this is really really really really important first and foremost you must swear and a tramp school uniform okay and as a reminder yes uniform sale start tomorrow from 8 to 3 p.m. in the HP office again at 3 p.m. in the hcam office so we are because of social just being and because there are three schools on the campus of Marquette we have a designated entrance gate Jake's so if you look at the graphic you see a little map of basically where Marc Marquez is located and at the very very bottom of the page you're going to notice that it says Gage Avenue Okay so I'm looking at the bottom of Jade at the bottom of the map you're going to see where it says Linda Esperanza Marquez high school that is actually the front entrance of the school where the Marquis is in the flagpole game that is not going to be the entrance for 8 p.m. students okay that's going to be the entrance for another school okay so if as an 8 p.m. student you attempt to go into that game you're going to be turned away so our entrance is going to be the Clarendon gate only okay that gate is the gate between the dining hall and the classroom building but the easiest way to remember it is if you are coming down Clara okay that's where the school dead ends and you go to the right or to the left to get on Cottage okay so there is going to be a gate there we are going to have signage they're saying hkm entrance for a banner so you can see that that's us so that is only entrance for HPI on students in case so that's where they're going to enter school every day and that's where they're going to exit school everyday okay I think that's that loud I wasn't on that so just an example of what are classrooms look like right now we are not allowed to have more than 12 students in the classroom okay so you're going to notice that this is the classroom basically with desk corner for the teacher and there may be two teachers there so that may be a future on the left side in the front and then the right side in the front and then you're going to notice that there's only 12 decton there okay yes this is more of a graphic representation of what's going to happen if you need to see the two teachers work stations in the front and then you're going to see 12 desk inside the classroom okay so that's what their classrooms are going to look like the students cannot move there. the students are going to be are going to be required to remain in their desks for the entirety of the. Okay and so that is what it looks like for kids coming back on campus safety protocols General guidelines of course we've already discussed the daily house training so every morning you're going to be going through health screening to get on campus you're going to be required to wear your face coverings your mask at all and you're going to stay six feet apart okay you're also going to walk around the camp if you walk around the campus you're going to see you know you can use hand sanitizer cuz we are hand sanitizers and every classroom we have hand sanitizer dispensers in the hall raisin offices in and of course when you go to the beach if you happen to go to the bathroom you definitely need to wash your hands as much as possible right so everything is being disinfected are bathrooms for astute are being cleaned every hour so they're being disinfected every hour also I wear during the lunch. All the classrooms will be disinfected they were close in that all Personnel will have to vacate their classrooms and during that time the custodial staff will be disinfecting the classrooms again so I'll be at cleaning obviously before they get there and then and then I'll be at midday cleaning for the students and then they will clean again at the end of the day in sanitize covid-19 compliance team so there is a team on campus that basically as monitor the safety protocols the notification of potential exposures and coordinate with district-level Community engagement team and LA County Public Health Department making sure that the safety Protocols are being Arnett okay and I'm in in the event that we have some sort of potential exposure we have to report it to the district and then that will be reported to LA Public Health day so in the event knock on wood that we'd have a joke we don't have I mean we have some sort of exposure he will be notified promptly of the exposure and and what is the what is the next step in regards to what we are going to do with the students or anybody who has been exposed potential there are two instructional models okay so if your child is opting to come to they are in the hybrid system okay so students will report to campus on their schedule days okay students will participate in distance learning from home on alternating days so what it's going to look like his butt say hypothetically child has been assigned to be on campus Tuesday Thursday and every other Monday okay so they would come to school Monday Tuesday and Thursday in person but then on Wednesday and Friday they would still have class with all their teachers that they have had regularly but they will do it from home now if you are opting to stay remote unit to Alexis continue in the distance learning model 100% of the time for the remainder of the school year so they will stay in side V they will stay at home for the remainder of the year and they will continue with the the classes that they've had so they are not changing their academic courses they will continue to go to you know whatever blocks they the weekly schedule okay so this is probably another good traffic to maybe take a screenshot over to take a picture with your phone so on Mondays Mondays are going to are going to be alternating like they have been now okay so let's say next Monday is off let's just say hypothetically okay they're going to take classes on that day okay so they're coming to school on that day if it's odd they're coming to school okay and then on Tuesdays are going to take their art classes in on Thurs we're going to take their art classes so you're going to see that on Tuesdays to take 1357 and on Thursday they take 1357 which is basically what they've been doing since the beginning of the school year okay but in the high-end in the face taste like I said they would come if if they're on the other day schedule and it's an odd Monday they would stay on they would come to school on Monday and then follow the same schedule for Tuesday Thursday and even blocks they will be at home okay in room so now if you look at the schedule right now we have the remaining Mondays that's what it looks like so when we go back to campus on the 27th the first day of school for Tuesday K. Following week May 3rd if they're in the odd cohort they will come to school on that day in person okay and then they would come to school Tuesday in person Wednesday they would stay at home Thursday they would go in person and on Friday with stay-at-home now the following week May 10th on that Monday since it's even if they're not in that even cohort they would stay at home okay and it would follow the Tuesday through Friday schedule and then I'm a 20 May 17th they would have on Monday okay and then the regular schedule for the rest of the week May 24th is an even day so if they're if they're not in that side of the cohort then they would stay at home and then May 31st is a holiday so nobody goes to school and there will be no remote learning on that day and then June 7th is the last week oh and that's a no on Monday so they would show up school on that day Tuesday and Thursday odd schedule Okay so what and you're probably noticing that a lot of a lot of this says odd because we are trying to really emphasize the odd Day schedule because a lot of the students are on that schedule so if they're in the hybrid okay if they're showing up to for in-person school from Tuesday through Thursday Tuesday and Thursday they're going to get to school and the daily streaming starts at 8 in the morning so we are going to set up our arse cleaners at the gate on Clarendon we will have 25 minutes to get them into the campus okay so that's why that's where the daily pass is going to be scanned and that's where the temperature check is going to be done in time so from 8 to 8:25 then they're going to have the first up to advisories queso from 8:30 to 9 the teachers that are on campus will do a live advisory lesson with the students that are inside their class time for 30 minutes lock one will start at 9 for everybody so you're going to notice that the remote learning block 1 starts for everybody at the same time from 9 to 9:50 okay and there is a 10-minute passing. Or break from 9:50 to 10 so then blocked me will start at 10 and will end at 10:54 again both dihybrid and the remote learn okay now from 11 to 11:30 there's going to be in in a second advisory for the students in hybrid escape and you're going to notice that the remote Learners will get their first third while they'll get there only 30 minute advisory from that same time from 11 to 11:30 now if you're wondering about the mask you're going to say what why are the students in hybrid getting of 1 hour total advisory time it's because when the hybrid students are at home on Wednesdays and Fridays they will not receive an advice free on that day but the students who are in remote learning in the hundred percent model will get advisory time everyday for 30 minutes which basically will equal out the same amount of time the students that are in hybrid organic my lunch for everybody is from 11:30 to 12 whether you are in remote or in the hybrid model the Wednesday Friday assuming that they are at the Hybrid students are going to be at home they're there their classes will for everybody will start at 9 to 9:50 they will have a block for that will start from 10 to 10:50 the advisory for the remote Learners will be from 11 to 11:30 lunch from 11:30 to 12 for everybody and then block 6 at from 12:05 to 12:55 and if they happen to have a blockade from 1:05 to 1:55 so we'll be from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays alternating Monday in time so if you'll see that the the the mud days that the students were going to be on campus are going to be May 3rd May 17th and June 17th at 7 so the daily screaming again from 8 to 8:25 advisory for the hybrid students will be from 8:30 to 9 block 1 4 all students from K will be from 9 to 9:53 from 10 to 10:50 there'll be advisory for all students from 11 to 11:30 then lunch from 11:30 to 12 and then block 5 from 405 5 block 7410 5 to 1:55 and then the teacher if you have staff professional development from 2 to 3:30 on Monday so things that you need to do to get ready for school so first and foremost definitely get some reusable face covering can you know any math I know that there's all kinds of different types of masks and people are very what those Masten what I've seen so definitely make sure that those masks are ready to go second schedule a covid test within 7 Days of your return date so definitely important that you schedule tasks probably for Monday or Tuesday of next week just to be safe and then generate a daily pass okay now students because you are going to be working on Zoom during the day throughout the entire day it's really really important that you fully charge your device and bring your your plug with you to school every single day okay because your laptop is going to probably run out of juice and you're going to have to plug your your your laptop being in class and what we've done is we bought some extra power strips in order to provide students with closer to getting a charging their their devices so it's going to be very important that though that when they're fully charged when I get there and then when they leave to lunch play plug all their devices in so they can charge while they're eating lunch and then when I come back I'll be good to go for the remainder of the day headphones are really really important because there's going to be a kid in the class together that's going to be up to 12 and and yes the district is providing some headphones for student if they need them but I wouldn't recommend that if they're already the students are already utilizing their own headphones or airpods that they also bring them to school because they may be more for them or what they feel more comfortable with him if you have a personal hand sanitizer I would absolutely recommend that to and then you need to bring a reusable bottle of water okay because I'm basically that's the only thing that students can drink inside the classrooms okay so they're not allowed to bring their Starbucks coffees they're basically allowed to drink water okay that is it and if they come in with her coffees or sodas or Gatorade we're going to have to have them so the only thing that they can drink inside the inside the classrooms as water why would school all students staff meeting tender social distancing protocols 262 way supplies are for individual use okay so this is really really really important items especially if someone doesn't have one but it's going to be there very important that you know they do not share their materials with each other okay because again you know obviously told him to be spread you know in various different ways so please please please make sure that they have their supplies for school K restricted movement there will basically be no hall passes in Ka this is like the strict guidelines that have been said by the state in the county and so we are not allowed to allow kids to go and you know wherever they want to go so if if they need to go somewhere there going to be summonsed out by by school Personnel okay so they let you know they do have 50 minutes and so we are going to make sure that they do have an opportunity to go to the bathroom you know if they didn't really need to so but that will be a process that they will be explained when they get there how to go to the bathroom if you need to go and I'll mention a little bit about water in the last fly but there is no food and drink outside of classroom okay something you know yesterday they said we can be bringing food to munch on in class they basically are going to be given when they us arrive to campus they will given a grab-and-go breakfast that they are allowed to eat outside and before that they are going to class you're going to have to discard it if they don't finish it except for a water and then at lunch time they will also be given a bag with their lunch in it and they will eating outside while the classes are being disinfected outdoor eating only the risk of covet spread increases during meals so that that is a picture of our quad so basically we are going to be setting up areas for them in Social distance pod basically okay so I'm in the morning they're going to get a morning snack like I said when they get there at 11:30 they're going to have lunch and they are we have been told that they can also get a meal on their way out of the campus to on a grab-and-go so it's kind of rude places are grabbing those system that we had over the last year where families were utilizing that service to pick up food in the mornings exposure management protocols again I know this is like like a broken record you are going to be screened before enter okay so if you have any symptoms of a covet please do not enter or you're going to see these stickers and and signs you know I really want to come back to school and I really want to see your children in so we are going to I mean this is our opportunity to artist and I don't know how long Cove it's going to be around but it's going to be really really important that we are cautious and prudent about making sure we're following dip protocols in order to to mitigate chances of spreading Tobin queso washing your hands face mask sanitizing so you're going to notice again so that at the bottom left corner you'll see that's kind of what are our studio staff walks around with and they're spraying everything and they're going to like sit down beat classrooms before the kids come to school that day by in the middle of the day during lunch time and then I'll do it later in the afternoon evening to get ready for the next day what happens if a person develop symptoms while on campus okay so they will be sent to an isolation area Okay so they will be provided with him and then we also have a warranty sold it in and so we are going to make sure that we once we identify that person we're going to have notifications we're going to have to notify the community engagement ring with the district and then we're going to do a full sanitation and then process of sanitizing the area and then you're going to get a notification from us whether or not it's cleared to come back or whether or not we're going to have to quarantine the studio or on the staff members who may have been exposed and and maybe have to stay at home okay so it all depends on what is the guidance that we received based on the exposure so we will want to continue to encourage students and families to get vaccinations so I do believe that they have just cleared the way for stood you are 16 years and older to receive the vaccinations okay I know if your child is under 16 on I have a child under 16 they are not eligible yet I do see that coming probably by the beginning of the song so I'm weird that we're going to have to be patient with our younger children but I'm not on this side there's a couple different websites for you to 10 to take a picture of an order for you to try to get it passed by so the state has there been I'm platform to set a appointment for vaccination the district has also doing vaccinations and then obviously LA County Public Health is doing it now we do have a vaccination Center at gauge okay and I believe it's this Saturday they are. I believe they have a few thousand vaccinations available so I would definitely look into that because that is very very close by so if you or anybody that is over 16 years of age I would like to get it I would definitely try and see if you can get an appointment for for Saturday this week I know it's a lot of information and it's you know it's it's what's a digestion and really kind of get through the cell I just definitely want to thank you for for being here tonight I have not been monitoring the Q&A so this is going to be a good time right now if you have questions or mister mister Jonathan has been monitor Mater moderating it looks like you've been answering them cell if you have any questions give his a really good time to do it we will be meeting with the students were coming back on tell you this next week the students right now we have a hundred and thirty students that have opted to return back to campus the other 650 approximately opting to stay in remote learning but we will be doing a webinar with the students coming back next week we're actually going to be doing it over two days because there is a lot of information that we need to go over with the student and make sure that they are ready to go go on that first day we are now all in the same room together thank you so much so loud there was there was a question that came up in the sky uniforms I know you said that they're going to start the 16th will they continue or do we have at ditional dates yeah so that's Orr uniform sales are starting tomorrow morning from 8 to 3:00 but they will continue Monday through Friday all the way until we start school and even on the day before on the 26th if they would like to come you know but they definitely have plenty of days basically they have seven days seven school days for I mean sorry 7 weekdays to buy Casillas de los vamos a Pasar Chinese restaurant La Quinta Inn.
